Description:

Made in 1901. Fixed sights, with the two line address and patent marking on top of the barrel, "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left and "R.A.C." on the underside. The Carr proof is also present on the rear cylinder face and left side of the frame. "61" assembly number on the frame, crane and cylinder release, and the U.S. Army Model marking on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Good, with 60% of the original blue, showing areas of gray patina and a number of scratches and handling marks. Side plate is slightly oversized, and the (empty) lanyard hole goes through the "1894" marking. Grips are fair, with a chipped left toe and scattered dents. Mechanically fine.
