Manufactured in 1897. Two line Hartford barrel address/1884-1895 patent dates barrel marking, caliber marking on left barrel side, and circled Rampant Colt on left side of frame. Butt marked "USN / [anchor] / 38DA / NO / 8326 / FHS / 89 /244". Trident inspection marks are present. Fitted with checkered and "COLT" imprinted grips.

Very good as partially refinished (barrel). Overall the revolver retains 70% of the blue finish with the balance a mottled brown-gray patina. There is some minor spotting and pitting. The grips are excellent with some scattered minor handling marks and some wear in the overall crisp checkering.

Fair. Factory rework with replacement frame. Overall the revolver retains 40% of the blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with some very scattered minor pitting and a couple areas of minor dings. The hammer, trigger, and cylinder latch are frozen.
