Description:

1) U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Mill Sand Geiger M421A summer flight jacket. Left chest has the leather name tag "G.L. BOWERS/LIEUT. U.S.M.C.R." 2) U.S. Marine Corps Ralph Edwards Sportswear G-1 flight jacket size 44 (circa 1961-1964). Left chest has the leather name tag "C.M. KUNZ/COL. USMC" and a squadron patch depicting a devil, the right chest has a VMF-214 patch, VMF-323 patch on the right shoulder, and a Naval Air Weapons Meet patch on the left shoulder. Kunz commanded VMF-323 during the Korean War from May to September 1951 and commanded VMF-214 (Black Sheep Squadron) for a brief period of time in the early 1950s. 3) USAAF summer flight suit size 36. 4) Type A-4 summer flight suit size 36. 5) U.S. Marine Corps evening dress uniform (coat, cummerbund and trousers) with bullion lieutenant colonel rank on the shoulders. 6) USN/USMC Slote & Klein N288s summer flight helmet with receiver, size medium. 7) U.S. Navy life vest hand marked "W.T.G./VB". With a signed letter from William Good who states that the life jacket belonged to him during WWII while as a dive bomber pilot assigned to Bombing Squadron Nineteen (VB-19) aboard the USS Lexington and writes he wrote "WTG VB" on the life jacket "having left off the 19 so as not to disclose to the enemy such specific information in case I ended up in his hands". VB-19 sank 67,500 tons of enemy navy ships including 2 aircraft carriers and another 95,200 tons of enemy merchant ships. 8) Life vest marked "R.W.M." on the front. 9) "SEARS/G.W.M." marked U.S. holster. 10) U.S.M.C.R. M421A summer flight jacket with illegible name tag on left chest. 11) U.S. Navy M426A summer flight suit. 12) U.S. khaki garrison cap.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good with a few tears and some stains. VMF-214 patch is fair and the name tag is faded. 2) Very fine, with limited wear to the cuffs and waist band. 3) Very fine, with a few minor stains. 4) Fine, with some scattered thin spots.5) Excellent, with only the slightest wear. 6) Excellent, with limited fray on the front. 7) Very good as stained and showing some hardening. 8) Very good plus as stained. 9) Fine with some minor handling marks. 10) Good, with some tears and a few large stains. 11) Very fine, with a few minor stains. 12) Fine, with some mild stains.
