This rifle is number 4 of the Colonel's 12 favorites featured in "THE ACCURATE RIFLE." The medium weight sporter barrel is made without iron sights and is marked "P.O. ACKELY 9.3 - 64". The model 98 Mauser action has been custom converted to left hand configuration. With a Lyman all-American 3x scope on Buehler mounts. The custom left hand stock is extra fancy American black walnut with cheekpiece and high comb. Fine line checkered pistol grip and forearm, ebony grip cap with diamond maple inlay. Ebony forearm tip. Vented recoil pad was added at a later date. Gold plaque engraved "CHARLES ASKINS" on the bottom of the forearm.

Excellent as custom built with 98% blue and excellent stock finish. A very nice custom non-wildcat 9.3 commercial cartridge that is very close to the 375 H&H mag.
