This rifle is number 5 of 12 favorites featured in this auction. Custom medium weight sporter barrel made without iron sights and marked "9.3 x 404." The 404 rimless nitro express was developed by Jeffery in 1910. This wildcat appears to be a .366 cal. 404 Jeffery. Weatherby Mark V left hand action with a Bushnell 4x scope chief on Buehler mounts. Weatherby custom engraved floor plate, checkered straight grain hardwood, high comb stock with a vented recoil pad, contrasting forend, tip and grip cap, and sling swivel studs. Gold plaque engraved "CHARLES ASKINS" on bottom of the forend tip.

Excellent with 98% blue. Good stock finish that’s beginning to craze. A very nice medium bore wildcat.
