This rifle is number 24 of the colonel's 12 favorites featured in "THE ACCURATE RIFLE." Original Remington barrel with a custom wildcat chambering to a 7mm x 8mm Rem mag. The barrel is a quarter turn off. The iron sight mounting holes are now on the left side. This right hand standard model 700 action has been converted with a left hand bolt. With a one-piece weaver type scope base. Custom left hand fiddle back dark maple stock with a left hand rollover cheekpiece. Rosewood grip cap and forend tip, vented recoil pad. Gold plate engraved "CHARLES ASKINS" on the forearm bottom.

Very good as custom built with 95% blue. Custom stock shows good finish with some heavy dings along the left side above the trigger guard.
