This is a fine example of a meticulously crafted and highly finished Libero Ferraglio shotgun. Started in 1964, Libero Ferraglio manufactures handcrafted shotguns with an annual output of twenty to thirty guns. This 20 gauge shotgun features a single bead front sight on a matte solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, improved modified/cylinder chokes, and ejectors. The left barrel is stamped "Libero Ferraglio Ferlib Italy" in script and both barrels are proofed on the underside. The side plate action features a tight scroll engraving incorporating floral rose bouquets. The scrollwork extends to the blue break lever and trigger guard. Equipped with double triggers and a tang safety. Mounted with a nicely figured triple-x-fancy European walnut straight grip stock with very fine line checkering on the wrist and forearm, blank initial oval and bare checkered butt. The length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. Comes with a leather bound takedown case lined in red wine velvet and featuring a Ferraglio leather label sewn to the inside of the lid. Included are the following accessories: pair of snap caps, three piece cleaning rod with attachments, two screwdrivers, ejector tool, silicone gun cloth and cleaning patches.
Excellent. The barrels retain 99% plus original blue finish with a few light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with a few storage type pressure marks. The case is fine.
