Description:

Also known as the "Kickup Model" with an estimated 1,000 manufactured from 1864 to 1876. The grips are numbered to the gun (376) with the number "247" on the barrel. The pistol is lightly marked "STEVENS & CO. VEST. POCKET. PISTOL/CHICOPEE FALLS MASS." on the top barrel flat, and features a German silver blade front sight, a notch in the hammer spur serves as the rear sight, a tip up barrel and smooth odd shaped flared rosewood grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The frame retains original blue finish in and around the protected areas with the balance a mottled brown-gray patina. The grips are also fine with a cracked right panel and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. These are seldom encountered in any condition, let alone a fine example like this one!
