Description:

This is one of an estimated 2,900 brass frame models manufactured from 1870 to 1882. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND" along with the 1865 patent date. The five-shot cylinder is plain while the brass frame features a scroll engraving on the sides and engraved accents on the front and on the top strap. There is a star burst pattern behind the hammer and a checkered panel on the back of the grip section. The cylinder pin is numbered to another gun. The cylinder is numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The cylinder has a smooth gray patina showing some light pitting. The frame retains 60% original silver plating with the exposed brass having an untouched patina. Cylinder pin has partially stripped threads but still keeps cylinder in place and action does cycle. Mechanically fine.
