Description:

Manufactured between 1901 and 1915, with a total production of only several thousand of these truly unique pistols. Several features of this arm were integrated in Mossberg's Brownie pistol. Held with the barrel group emerging from the top of the hand, and the index and ring fingers on either side of the firing mechanism, which is squeezed with the middle finger to fire. The left side of the pistol has the three line address (Shattuck misspelled with a single T due to incorrect factory marking die) and the barrel group is numbered to gun. An ejection rod is stored in a compartment in the right side of the frame.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original nickel finish with some scattered minor edge flaking. Left side of the barrel cluster has a scuff in the metal. Mechanically fine.
