The brass cartridge elevator is marked "44 CAL" and the upper tang is marked "MODEL 1873". Mounted on a full length forearm with three barrel bands and straight grip stock with carbine style buttplate with compartment and sling swivels.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel, barrel bands and magazine retain traces of original blue finish in the protected areas and the receiver retains 70% original blue finish with the overall balance a smooth brown-gray patina. Traces of original case colors remain on the hammer and lever. There is some very scattered light pitting with more concentrated pitting on the lever. The wood is very fine with some minor pressure dents and scratches with "SCL" hand marked on the left side of the buttstock and underside of the forearm. Mechanically fine.
