Description:

Manufactured in 1864. The top barrel flat has the one line New York address, the left frame side is marked "COLTS/PATENT" (double stamped), and the left trigger guard shoulder is stamped "31 CAL". The cylinder has the stagecoach hold-up scene with "COLTS PATENT" above the serial number. Except for the un-numbered loading lever, the numbers match.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The revolver has a mottled brown-gray patina overall with scattered traces of original blue finish on the barrel, mixed with some very scattered light pitting. Most of the cylinder scene remains. The brass has an untouched aged patina. The grip is fine with some scattered minor handling marks and much of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine.
