The barrel has the standard "V/P/eagle head/P" inspection marks with an "R" on the top. Low arch breechblock marked "U.S./MODEL/1873" and the lock plate is marked "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" next to an eagle with shield. Smooth straight grip stock with ramrod, 2 barrel bands, "SWP/1883" cartouche, circled script "P" in the grip area and smooth "US" marked buttplate, and sling swivels. With the correct iron cleaning rod with slotted button head.

Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth brown patina with areas of silver gray in the protected areas. There are a few small minor dings on the barrel to the left of the rear sight. The stock is very good with some scattered minor dents and dings. All markings and cartouches are clear. The action is fine.

Very good as arsenal refurbished. The metal surfaces have a smooth dark patina with some minor oxidation on the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel, and breechblock. The replacement stock has been refinished and remains good with some minor pressure dents and dings. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
