Description:

Manufactured circa late 1840s to early 1850s. The barrel cluster has the address and cast steel rib markings, with the 1848 patent date on the hammer. Engraved frame and nipple shield, with a spur trigger bow. Matching serial number on frame under grip and hammer spring. Two piece bag shaped walnut grips with German silver oval inlays above the screw.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The barrel cluster retains 40% of the original blue in and around the protected areas with the balance a smooth brown patina. The remaining metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina. There is some very scattered minor pitting. The grips are fine with a minor chip missing from the right panel and some scattered minor handling marks.
