The matching serial number is marked on the frame and right side of the grip straps under the grip. The matching assembly number "16" is marked on the right rear of the frame and on the loading gate. Standard fixed sights, all nickel finish and fitted with ivory grips with a carved steer head on the right panel and silver Colt medallions. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, factory engraving and hard rubber grips at the time it was shipped as 1 of 2 to Von Lengerke & Antione Chicago, Illinois for Harry Hessel on March 14, 1925.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original nickel finish with some muzzle wear and some scattered minor flaking. The grips are also excellent with a couple of minor age stress line present on the bottoms. The markings and engraving is crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
