Manufactured in 1882. The top of the barrel has the two line Hartford address with the etched caliber panel on the left barrel side and the 1874 patent date stamped on the barrel underside. The left frame side is stamped "38 CAL C". Fitted with smooth rosewood grips.

Fine. The revolver retains 90% original nickel plating with loss mostly at the muzzle and on the cylinder high edges. The cylinder has been battered on one of the chambers, but did not break through the plating. The hammer and trigger retain 80% original niter blue finish. There is some minor pitting on the hammer. The grips are very fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor handling marks with a couple shallow gouges on the left panel. The etched panel is clear.
