Description:

This is an officer's Hussar style tunic of the Staffordshire Yeomanry used between 1881 and 1893. The tunic is composed of blue black wool with silver bullion cord forming six cord loops across the front. There are scarlet accents on the cuffs and collar surrounded by silver bullion embroidery forming trefoil knots. The back seams are covered with a double braid with trefoil knots at top and bottom. There are braided silver bullion cord epaulettes with an embroidered Victorian crown over a single embroidered pip. The interior has a white quilted silk lining. With a silver bullion cord cap line.

Rating Definition:

Good, the exterior shows some minor wear overall with some loose embroidery. The interior is fair with fraying and deterioration.
