The full octagon barrel (approximately 8 bore) has brass bead front and notch rear sights with an iron rib on the underside with two iron ramrod pipes. The left barrel flat near the breech is stamped "A1733". The included ramrod is iron with a button type tip. The plain lock plate has an illegible marking. It has a square back iron trigger guard. The smooth half stock has a flat iron buttplate, a blank initial oval near the stock toe, single barrel wedge, and a forend cap.

Fair. The metal surfaces have a smooth untouched dark patina. The stock is fair with a couple areas of surface chipping, a chip missing near the lock, a repair near the bolster, a few hairline cracks, and a number of minor handling marks. The buttstock has some insect damage with much of it having been filled.
