Manufactured by Eugene Le Faucheux in Paris France, circa 1851-70, with five stepped rotating barrels. The frame is bright finished and is fully relief engraved with a vine and floral pattern. The revolving breech shield face is semi-engraved in the same pattern and is marked with a serial number "866" below a motif of a small box with a pistol above the letters "L" and "F". and "LeFAUCHEUX" bordered in a banner style on the opposite side. It has a double action ring trigger with a free breaking under hammer and a trigger blocking safety. Fitted with ebony grips.

Very good with the bright metal having a few small areas of spotting with toning on the grip straps. The barrels are gray patina with some spotting and minor pitting overall. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and light handling marks. Mechanically fine.
