The LeFaucheux is elaborately etched in Gothic letters on top of the barrel "E. Lefaucheux Paris". The LeFaucheux patent marking is on the trigger and the serial number is on the right side of the barrel. Most of the metal surfaces (which were possibly once silver plated) feature an acid etched floral engraving with a dot motif on the hammer, on the edges of the recoil shields and loading gate, on the barrel at the muzzle, on the butt and on the frame around the hammer and folding trigger. Raised bead front sight and ejector rod mounted on the right side. Fitted with smooth grips with a contoured butt. Complete with a wooden case lined in green velvet. The interior lining of the lid is marked "LEFAUCHEUX/A PARIS" in gold. Included in the case are a screwdriver, key, cleaning rod and oiler.

Very fine. The metal surfaces have a smooth brown-gray patina with some scattered minor spotting. The grips are excellent with some minor scratches. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some minor handling marks, some minor spotting on the varnish, and a long minor crack on the lid and the interior lining shows some minor contact wear.
