Description:

A Lieutenant in the Belgian Army, Lambert Ghaye was also an inventor, who held multiple patents relevant to the arms trade. Blade front and v-notch rear sights, with "ACIER FONDU" on the left side of the chamber and "L.GHAYE/BREVETE/1031" on the right side of the frame, which is decorated with scroll engraving. Checkered straight wrist stock, with sling studs and a flat buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, scattered spotting, and mild handling marks. Heavier red rust is present on the trigger guard and especially the buttplate. Stock is very good, with numerous mild scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
