Description:

No maker's markings, Liege proof and "GP" in an oval on top of the barrel at the breech end, and "crown/T" on the right rear and a "T" on the left side. There is a small "MG" marked on the lock directly ahead of the hammer. Brass blade front sight, long saddle ring bar, with ring mounted on the left side of the stock, brass mountings and mounted with a smooth straight grip half stock with cheek rest cutout and round "FR. IP./1831" with "GB" in the center cartouche on the right side of the buttstock. There is small "166" stamped on the stock directly behind the lower tang.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel has a bright appearance with some scattered minor pitting. The remaining metal surfaces have a mottled silver gray patina with some scattered minor pitting. The brass has an attractive aged mustard yellow patina. The stock remains excellent with some minor dings and dents. The action is fine.
