Description:

This is a Nicholas II era officer's helmet of the Garde Du Corps or the personal guard of the monarchy. The skull, front peak and lobstertail are all gilt metal. There is a silvered plume holder at the top with a white horsehair plume. The plate is a silvered rayed star with a blue enamel background circle in the center with gold cyrillic writing translated to "For Faith and Loyalty" with the Imperial Order of St. Andrew on a gold background in the center of the blue circle. The silvered chin scales are leather backed and have the Imperial colors cockade on the right side. The front peak is lined with black velvet, the lobstertail is lined in red velvet, there is a brown leather sweat band and a red silk lining.

Rating Definition:

Very good, the skull has some scattered light dents. The silvered components have a dark aged patina. The plume has some noticeably shorter hairs at the top. The peak, lobstertail, sweat band, and silk lining have stains.
