Description:

This helmet is from the King Wilhelm I era. The skull and peaks are black patent leather with a silvered trim on the front peak. There is a large silver German eagle wearing a crown while holding a scepter and orb. On his chest are the letters "FR" and across the wings in a banner is "MIT GOTT FUR KOENIG UND VATERLAND". The spike has a silvered brass 4 prong base. The Imperial cockade is on the right side under the chin scale mount and the left has the Prussian cockade under the chin scale mount. Natural leather sweatband and white cloth lining.

Rating Definition:

Very good, the leather shows some crazing and slight flaking. The spike base retains traces of silver in the protected areas otherwise the remaining silver is fine. The lining has some stains.
