Description:

This is a nice example of a Norwegian Model 1914 semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in 1945 by the Kongsberg Vapenfabrik factory in Kongsberg, Norway and delivered to the Nazi occupation forces. These pistols were a modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 and were intended to be supplied to the Norwegian Army until the capture of the factory by the Germans in 1940. This example is one of the last 935 pistols manufactured. These pistols fell into the serial number range of 22,312 to 30,535. The left side of the slide is stamped with "Eagle/WaA84" acceptance stamp followed by "11.25 m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 - No 29905". A Norwegian "Crown/K" proof mark is stamped above the serial number on the slide. The right side of the slide is stamped with the date "1945". The full serial number is stamped on the left side of the frame ahead of the slide stop and the partial serial number "905" is stamped on the slide stop, trigger, slide safety, grip safety, and mainspring housing. Nickel magazine with lanyard loop on the bottom and fitted with checkered walnut grips with a diamond pattern around the screws. These are very scarce pistols as very few were produced during the Nazi occupation, and production of these never really resumed after the war.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original dark charcoal gray phosphate finish with some high edge wear, a few small minor dings on the left front of the frame and a few light minor scratches. The grips are very fine with a few moderate dings, a few minor dents and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The pistol appears to have been fired very little, if at all.
