Left side of slide is marked "J.P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL/CAL 7,65" and right side of the slide is marked "PATENT". The single "Eagle/37" military acceptance stamp is marked on the left trigger guard web. The "Eagle/N" commercial proof and serial number are marked behind the right grip on the frame. Blued magazine with "CAL. 7.65" and the Sauer monogram marked on the floor plate. Fitted with checkered plastic grips showing the Sauer monogram on the left side.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with some sharp edge wear and the front and back strap are beginning to fade slightly. The grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Early blue 38 H Sauers are seldom found in excellent condition as the blue finish was fragile!
