Description:

This is an excellent, all original, Early Nazi era Sneak Luger that was produced in the 1929-33 time frame. These are typically termed Sneak Lugers based on the lack of any identifying manufactures markings and proofmarks, which the Nazis did to disguise their early rearmament efforts. This example has the correct blank chamber, but still retains the DWM marked front toggle assembly. The right side of the barrel extension has the early single "WaA66" Waffenamt proof indicating rework at the Mauser factory in 1929/30 along with the single "Crown/N" commercial proof on the left side, which is also duplicated on the breechblock and underside of the barrel. It has the standard extractor and safety markings. The side plate does not have any Police sear safety so that may indicate this pistol was intended for an early military unit. It has checkered walnut grips, and is complete with two matching magazines both have nickel plated magazine bodies with wooden bases correctly numbered "6412/t/1 and 2" respectively. This pistol is complete with a later brown leather holster marked on the back side "ROBERT LARSEN/BERLIN/TP" along with an unmarked take-down tool.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots, with blue loss on the side plate hump with some minor touch up on the muzzle and center section of the barrel. The grips are both in excellent condition with nice sharp checkering on both sides showing even honest very light wear across the tops of the checkering. The pistol itself has all matching numbers to include both magazines, except the firing pin and grips all of which are unnumbered. The holster is in excellent condition with nice clear sharp markings with tight stitching overall with some scuffing and scratches on top of the flap.
