Description:

This is a nice example of a late WWI German Artillery Luger pistol dated 1917 on the chamber. The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown/gothic letter" proofs next to the "Imperial eagle" firing proof, with the DWM logo on the front toggle. It has standard receiver markings with safety and extractor correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN". The Luger itself has a single, unmarked, nickel plated magazine with an unmarked wooden base. It is complete with an original (non-matching) wooden board shoulder stock with attaching iron and lower leather cover, an original artillery holster that is marked inside "L. RITGHEN/1917/KARLSCHUE" with a leather shoulder strap that has a unmarked double magazine pouch attached, with two Luger unmarked magazines inside. The holster is complete with a numbered (non-matching) tool inside and an original artillery cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% of the original blue finish overall with thinning on the high edges. The various small parts retain 60% of their bright straw colors remaining overall. The holster is in very good condition with nice clear markings on the inside of the holster with nice tight stitching overall with the front of the holster showing some minor age cracking on surface of the leather itself, with minor handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. The stock is in fine condition overall with a clear distinct proof on the side of the stock, which is showing handling marks overall mixed with some fading of the color of the wood.
