This Luger is period custom engraved with European style floral designs on the top of the barrel, barrel extension, frame sides, side plate and back strap. The front strap is engraved with floral design over a crown, a square panel in the center and floral design at the bottom. The engraving is gold highlighted. The left side of the barrel extension is marked with a commercial "crown/N" proof mark, the front of the frame is marked "411/GERMANY/I" and the bottom of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number and the bore diameter "8,83" (3 triple stamped). The toggle is marked with a gold filled "DWM" monogram. Nickel finish with a brushed nickel on the toggle assembly and gold on the small components. Fitted with walnut grips with floral raised relief carved oak leaf designs. The pistol is complete in a custom wooden case with black fitted and padded velvet lining. The inside of the lid has a silver plaque reading "Ehre/und/Heimat", loosely translated, honor and homeland. And a cross medal with black and silver ribbon. The medal is marked with a crown at the top, "W" in the center and "1914" at the bottom. In the case is brushed nickel takedown tool, extra nickel magazine with wooden base, wooden handle cleaning rod and 9 mm ammunition in a bullet block.

Period custom embellished with 99% of the various plated finishes remaining. Almost all of the gold highlight in the engraving remains. 95% of the gold on the small components remains with some thinning and edge wear on the trigger. The relief carved walnut grips are extremely fine with some minor scratches. The engraving remains clear. Mechanically excellent. The case is near excellent with a few minor scratches on the exterior, the lining and accessories are excellent.
