Manufactured in 1901. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address ahead of the rear sight and "22 LONG" at the breech. Three line maker, model, patent date marking on the upper tang and the serial number is marked on the lower tang. Dovetailed blade front and replacement adjustable Redfield sporting rear sights and mounted with a 12 groove walnut forearm and smooth straight grip stock. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber as "L", that it was received in the warehouse on December 17, 1901 and shipped out on order number 136669, August 1, 1902.

Very fine. The rifle retains 70% original thin blue finish with areas fading to a smooth brown and gray patina, and showing some high edge wear. The buttplate shows 40% original muted case colors with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The wood is also very fine with 90% original varnish remaining and showing some minor dents and scratches, concentrated mainly on the stock. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
