This is a beautiful example of a custom engraved and gold inlaid Belgian Browning 22 Semi-Automatic rifle done for Donald Toppel, one of the authors of the book "The Gatling Gun". The barrel has been very nicely engraved with a floral vine pattern with heavy gold inlaid accents, four gold bands around the muzzle and two bands flanking a simple vine design on the breech end. The top of the barrel near the muzzle is gold inlaid "Donald R. Toppel". The barrel retains the standard markings and is equipped with a blade front sight and scope bases. The rear sight seat has an engraved filled block. The receiver has been polished and features floral vine engraving and a hunting dog and pheasants in a wooded scene on the left side, hunting dog and ducks in a wooded marsh scene on the right and a dog with a rabbit in its mouth on top. The rifle is mounted with a very nicely figured skip-line checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a silver oval on the bottom of the grip with a moose head engraved on it. The rifle comes with a small game Unertl 4 power scope with engraved and de-horned Unertl rings and gold spring. Also comes with a copy of the book "The Gatling Gun" by Paul Wahl and Don Toppel. Complete with a tan Browning hard takedown case.

Spectacularly custom embellished with all of the blue and polished coin finish remaining. All of the gold inlay remains. The wood is excellent with a few small minor dings and crisp checkering. The engraving is sharp. The scope is excellent, all of the gold remains on the spring and the optics are clear. A very nicely embellished Browning 22 Semi-Automatic rifle. The case is excellent.
