Description:

Manufactured in 1901 with a blade front and frame notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address and patent date (1884-1895) with "COLT D.A. 38" on the left side and a "P" on the underside. "RAC" stamped on the left side of frame, cylinder, bottom of barrel and bottom of left grip panel. "0535" on the cylinder latch, frame and crane. "K" is also present on cylinder latch. Standard U.S. Army model markings on butt with a lanyard ring.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 80% original blue finish with finish wear on the back strap, front strap, trigger guard, muzzle, high edges and a some scattered patches of pitting and oxidation. Both grips are very fine with crisp inspectors stamp on butt and some scattered minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
