The left side of the frame has "J.E.H." and "R.A.C." as well as the date 1903. "R.A.C." is also on the cylinder. Left side of barrel marked "COLT D.A. 38". "K" and "P" inspector marks on the bottom of the barrel. Butt marked "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1903". Smooth walnut grips with "R.A.C" and lanyard ring on butt.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished with 95% of the blue finish remaining. The barrel has some light pitting on the address, satin gray around the muzzle and some light handling marks. The cylinder has a developing gray patina with the original blue in the flues and some light scratching. The frame shows wear on the edges with dings and dents and a few areas of mottled brown. The grips are very good with some pressure dents and scratches. The action is good.
