Description:

This has to be the rarest, most difficult WWII Model 1911A1 slide ever to find. As we all know there were only 500 total, M1911A1 pistols ever produced by the "Singer manufacturing" Company during WWII. Many of the complete pistols, were disposed of after WWII with some staying in the Army inventory and going through a rebuild process. Consequently once in a while you will find an original frame with an incorrect slide, but never do you find spare/separate slides and they are just virtually impossible to obtain. This example has not gone through a rebuild process and retains it's original WWII Singer factory blued finish, with the original front and rear sight intact with clear sharp markings. If you were lucky enough to find an original frame floating around out there, this is your "One Chance" to obtain the correct original Singer Mfg. slide.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 40% of the original blue finish remaining with more of the bright high polish blue around the back end of the slide. The slide has seen considerable handling and holster use. Certainly if mated to an original frame it could make a very nice pistol. As noted there is only one of these slides so don't miss your chance to reinstall it on that Singer frame you found years ago that you have been hanging on to. If ever there was a needle in the haystack to find, here it is!
