Manufactured in 1925. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40" on the left side and the two line three patent dates are marked on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt. A unique vertical "border line" is stamped after the barrel address (a factory error). The matching serial number is marked on the rear face of cylinder, the bottom of the frame, right side of the grip straps under the grip and on the inside of each grip panel with the assembly number "561" on the loading gate. Blue finish with casehardened frame and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original blue finish with some minor muzzle and edge wear and thinning on the back strap. The frame retains 85% original case colors with areas fading to a smooth gray. The grips are excellent with a couple minor dings and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
