Colt only produced 107 Single Action Army revolvers in 22 RF caliber. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "22-R.F." on the left side and the partial assembly number "5473" followed by "22" is marked under the ejector housing. The left side of the frame is marked with the three line, three patent dates. Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and very faintly on the back strap. The left side of the forward trigger guard is marked "22 CAL". Blade front (slightly lowered), frame notch rear sights, all blue finish and fitted with replacement hard rubber Rampant Colt/American Eagle relief grips.

Fine as partially period refinished (rear half all blued) with 40% blue finish remaining mixed with smooth gray and brown patina, showing some minor spotting. The face of the cylinder shows moderate pitting. The barrel retains 70% original blue. The grips are very good having faded to brown and show moderate overall wear and a few minor chips on the bottom edges. The patent marking is faint but legible, otherwise the markings are clear. The action is fine. This may be your only opportunity to acquire a .22 Colt SAA!
