Manufactured in 1926. The top of the later production barrel is marked with the one line address and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 38 SPECIAL" on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark and the number "1". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the grip straps under the grip. The assembly number "177" is marked on the loading gate. Casehardened frame with blue on the remaining parts, blade front and frame notch rear sights. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Fine as professionally refinished and rebarreled. The revolver retains 90% blue finish with some muzzle wear and thinning on the grip straps. There are a few small minor scratches on the barrel and trigger guard bow, and a bright drag line on the cylinder. The frame retains most of the refurbished case colors. The replaced grips are good. There is a chip on each heel and toe, they are beginning to warp slightly and have faded to brown, showing minor wear. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
