Manufactured in 1883. The top of the custom replacement barrel is marked with the one line address and the underside is marked "P/D.F.C." directly ahead of the cylinder pin. The left side of the frame is marked with the three line patent dates followed by "U.S.". The loading gate is marked with the assembly number "2642". The cylinder is marked with the letter "P" and "D.F.C.". "D.F.C." is also marked on the bottom of the frame over the serial number and the letter "G" below the serial number on the trigger guard and back strap. The full matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the partial number "6714" on the cylinder. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with a smooth one-piece walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Good as modified, see above. All metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina with some minor pitting on the cylinder and frame. The grip has been refinished and remains good. The grip is a bit undersized with a small chip on the right toe as well as a few minor dents on the bottom and overall light handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
