Manufactured in 1951 and in 1980 master engraved by Ken Hurst of Lynchburg, Va. The pistol features almost full coverage of English scroll engraving on the barrel, slide and frame. The pistol retains the original markings on the left side of the barrel and slide, and the serial number is on the right side of the frame. Ramped blade front and adjustable rear sights, serrated trigger, Colt marked magazine and fitted with custom checkered maple target grips with right hand thumb rest. The pistol is accompanied by a hand written letter from a previous owner verifying the pistol having been engraved in 1980 by Ken Hurst who also installed the custom grips.

Master embellished with 99% blue finish remaining showing some imperfections and minor pitting under the finish. The grips are very good with a couple of minor cracks on the left panel and sharp checkering. Some of the markings are fainted, otherwise the engraving and remaining markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
