31 1/4 inch single fuller straight edge blade, with floral and armament themed engraving on each side of the blade and a faint signature on the right ricasso. Brass hilt, with a lion head quillon, an eagle perched on an anchor with 17 stars on the languet, floral patterns on the knuckleguard, Roman bust pommel and checkered bone grips. With an engraved brass scabbard, marked "HORSTMANN/&/SONS/MAKERS/PHILADELA" in a raised scroll on the rear.

Very good, with a smooth gray patina on the very good blade, showing mild handling marks and spotting. The brass has taken on a dark aged patina, with traces of well aged silver in the protected areas. Scabbard shows dents and mixed colors.
