Description:

30 1/4 inch double fuller blade, with the "Ames MFG Co./Chicopee/Mass" address on the left side above the ricasso, and etched decorations on each side. Gilt brass hilt, with cut-through floral vine designs on the guard and a wire wrapped sharkskin grip. Black leather scabbard, with gilt brass furniture and "AMES MFG.CO./CHICOPEE/MASS" on the rear of the throat.

Rating Definition:

Fine. Mild spotting and dings are visible on the fine blade, with a few spots of brown. Over 70% of the original gilt finish remains on the brass, with a deep aged patina on the exposed areas, a visible seam on the knuckleguard, and mild handling marks. Minor handling marks are visible on the grip, with scuffs and two reattached tears present on the lower leather scabbard.
