Description:

31 inch double edge blade with central fuller, decorated with acid etched leafy scroll and armament designs. Silver finished hilt, with an American eagle on the languet, dual chain knuckle guard, plumed helmet pommel and bone grip panels. A spiral pattern has been cut into the grip, passing through the panels and the brass of the hilt. Brass scabbard, with a trimmed drag, dual suspension bands, and a lightly engraved frog stud.

Rating Definition:

Good, with mild spotting and a mixed gray patina on the good blade, showing faint etching and a patch of rust on the left side near the washer. Traces of dark original silver are present in the protected areas, with a mixed patina on the brass. Grip is very good, with attractive color and grain. Scabbard color is also mixed, with some verdigris, streaks of brown, and dents.
