Description:

Manufactured between 1863 and 1865 with this example having U.S. inspection markings. Standard "STARR. ARMS. CO. NEW. YORK." address on the left side of frame and "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856" on the right. Serial numbers match on the front of the barrel lug and cylinder. There are single letter inspection marks on most of the components. Both sides of the grip have a boxed cartouche.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 50% bright original blue finish with the balance a crisp mottled brown patina. The hammer and loading lever retains traces of original case colors. The grip is very fine with some minor handling marks. The lightly struck cartouches are faint but legible. Mechanically fine.
