Description:

Manufactured in 1854. The top barrel flat has the two line New York address inside brackets, left frame side has "COLTS/PATENT" and the left trigger guard shoulder has the letter "X". The cylinder has the stagecoach hold-up scene with "COLTS PATENT above the serial number. Visible numbers match. Fitted with a varnished grip.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 80% plus original blue finish and the cylinder retains traces of original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. Most of the cylinder scene remains. The loading lever and frame retain 70% of the original case colors, otherwise faded to a silver gray. The grip straps retain 95% original silver plating. The grip are excellent with most of the varnish remaining and some minor handling marks. Action needs work as the hammer spring is broken.
