Damascus pattern four barrel cluster, Liege proof marked between the bolsters, barrels numbered with matching number on each bolster and front strap marked "MARIETTE BREVETE". Light floral vine engraved frame marked "R/184" on top. Fitted with smooth two-piece walnut grips. Complete in a French fitted case with decorative, simple border brass inlays and a brass edge protector on the lid, which has a masterfully embellished plaque in the center. The fitted lining is red velvet and the case contains a single cavity iron bullet mold marked "34" and a round horn container with 5 round lead bullets. The top of the lock plate is finely engraved "Jensen 18 R Favart". Attached to the trigger guard is a brass collection or inventory tag with a "Christies East" under "G-91" paper sticker.

Fine. The metal surfaces remain bright. All of the Damascus pattern remains on the barrels. The grips are very fine with a few minor handling marks. The action needs work, it doesn't always function. The markings and engraving are clear. The case is good with a little piece of the veneer absent on the lid and overall some minor dings and scratches on the exterior. The otherwise very fine original lining shows some minor contact wear and stains.
