Description:

The British Egypt Medal was awarded to Royal Navy and Army personnel who were involved in the Egypt campaign from 1882 to 1889. This example was awarded to Pte. Edward Wootten, 19th Hussars. There are the Abu Klea, The Nile 1884-85, El-Teb-Tamaai, Suakin 1884 and Tel-EL-Kebir clasps. It has a correct ribbon with three blue and two white stripes. The reverse is dated 1882. Comes with copies of Wootten's service records.
