The lock is marked "BARNETT/LONDON" ahead of the hammer and the top of the barrel at the breech is marked "25" and with an unrecognizable marking. 58 caliber rifled barrel with blade front and three leaf (two folding, one fixed) rear sight. Brass trigger guard and mounted with a full straight grip stock secured by two barrel bands with a brass forend cap and buttplate, and sling swivels. The left flat is marked with "W.R", there are two "crown/1" proofs directly behind the trigger guard tang and the right rear of the buttstock is stamped with a "BARNETT/GUNMAKERS/LONDON" cartouche. There is a "crown/20" stamped on the left side of the rear barrel band.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 90% plum blue finish remaining. There is some minor pitting and dings on the barrel and some pitting on the rear sight base under the finish. There is some wear on the muzzle. The lock and hammer have a mottled patina with strong case colors under the hammer and some minor pitting. The brass remains somewhat bright, beginning to age. The stock is also very fine with a minor 4 inch age crack on the right wrist and a couple of age cracks radiating forward from the front of the trigger guard. The buttplate, barrel tang and lower tang are ill-fitting with a buttplate screw missing. Overall there are a few minor dings and dents and sharp flats. Unless noted above, the markings are clear. The action is fine. Missing Ramrod.
