Description:

1) This is an officer's dress sabretache for the North Somerset Yeomanry. The body is composed of black leather with the front flat covered in black melton cloth. There is silver lace around the outside edge with red piping on both sides. There is an embroidered Victorian crown over a silver bullion "VR" cypher over three raised banners marked "NORTH SOMERSET YEOMANRY". 2) This is a service sabretache for the 1st Airshire Yeomanry. The body and flap are composed of black patent leather with a gilt Star of the Order of the Thistle with an oval marked "1st AIRSHIRE YEOMANRY" and St. Andrew and his cross in the center.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good, there is some insect tracking on the velvet fabric. The silver lace has a dark aged patina. The leather has some minor wear overall. 2) Very good, there is some crazing overall with some indentions and minor wear. The gilt badge has a bright appearance.
