Description:

Tracing their linage back to the bodyguards of Charles II in 1656, the Grenadier Guards earned their title via royal proclamation after facing down and defeating the Grenadiers of Napoleon's Imperial Guard at Waterloo. Measuring 38 3/4 inches overall with a straight, single fuller, 33 inch blade, marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "67769" upon the spine, with the makers marks of Wilkinson Sword on the right recess. Etched panels are present on each side bearing a multitude of battle honors running clear into the First World War, in addition to the cipher of George VI and the Grenadier's lit bomb symbol. The lit bomb is repeated on the cut-through guard with floral accents, a checkered back strap and a wire wrapped sharkskin grip. With a nickel finished sheath.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with some mild flaking and spotting concentrated at the tip of the otherwise very fine blade and mild handling marks overall. The sheath is fine, with flaking concentrated on the upper half.
