Description:

This is an officer's dress sabretache for the 6th Dragoon Guards. The body is composed of red leather with the front flap having extensive gold and silver bullion embroidered oak-leaf and acorn pattern with a wide strip of gold lace around the outside edge and a small strip of red felt on the very outside edge. In the center is a silver embroidered castle above a silvered "WATERLOO" battle honor badge. On the inside of the small flap is a "HAMBURGER & Co." paper label.

Rating Definition:

Good, there are scattered areas of flaking and minor wear on the red leather. The silver embroidery and gold lace have a dark appearance. The gold bullion embroidery is bright.
